Honor continues to ramp up battery capacity for its new smartphones, and soon, it may introduce a new device with a battery that would be as big as a power bank.
A tipster from Weibo has shared key information about the upcoming Honor Power 3 model, which could bring up to a 15,000mAh battery. This much of the capacity in a smartphone wasn’t possible until the approval of the silicon-carbon battery for smartphones, ensuring safety for regular use.
Earlier this year, Honor launched Honor Power 2 with a staggering 10,000mAh battery and Qinghai Lake technology, which could refrain from degrading for years.
It could provide up to 20 hours of continuous screen-on usage. 14 hours of gaming, 22 hours of short videos, and 26 hours of long videos. Offering this power backup is a big deal for smartphone users, and leaves them worry-free from charging the battery.

Even if it does, Honor is shipping the phone with a superfast 80W charger. Not only that, but Power 2 also supports 27W reverse wired charging.
Furthermore, these larger battery phones come with a sufficient heat dissipation system to keep the internal operation cool and performance steady on long runs.
Prior to Power 2, Honor also released the Honor WIN series with a 10,000mAh battery with up to 16 hours of gameplay and 31 hours of continuous video playback. Similar to the Power 2, users can recharge the device with 80W fast charging.
For now, this news remains in the unconfirmed, but we can expect Honor to crank up Honor Power 3 to the max, to show its leadership as a battery giant.
