April is here, and it’s probably the month when we can witness the 2026 Huawei Pura smartphones that have been emerging in the leaks for quite some time, looking for an official launch date. A recent input is suggesting a possible time for these models.
Weibo tipster @GuoJing has revealed the launch date of the new Huawei Pura smartphones. According to him, the company could hold a Pura Pioneer Ceremony and Full-Scenario New Product launch event between April 20 and 29.
The latest leak aligns well with recent news, predicting that the Pura 90 series and the second wide foldable device will launch on the platform in late April.
Huawei will likely conduct the event in Shanghai. And it seems the OEM may unveil more than just Pura smartphones and a clamshell. The list counts new wearables, smart cars, or a new tablet. But the details of these devices are uncertain.
Besides the possible launch date, the tipster has listed the number of Pura models coming to the market. Instead of four or three regular phones, it mentioned only the standard Pura 90 and the Pura 90 PRO MAX.

On the other hand, the company seems to have a different strategy for its Pura folding phone lineup. The device could debut as Pura Fold rather than Pura X2.
At the same time, the Chinese tech giant may unveil two more colors for the first-generation Pura folding handset. Huawei probably aims to hit Apple’s first foldable iPhone creation with its own new launches this year.
The tipster has further mentioned the Nova 16 series, tentatively set for June. Huawei might showcase this lineup after the HDC event. But before that, let’s see if the Pura 90 models debut at the same time as speculated in the latest leak.
