While unveiling the profits made in 2025, Huawei Rotating Chairwoman – Meng Wanzhou removed curtains from AI strategies for HarmonyOS devices in 2026. Perhaps the upcoming software version will unlock some amazing changes for Huawei smartphones.
Meng stated how the company has made huge strides in its business with the help of self-reliant products. Since it was unable to access the US tech, it worked on its own solutions for every segment – from consumer market to network technologies.
Huawei witnessed a strong return in the smartphone market in 2026 with the help of HarmonyOS devices, AI-powered features, and in-house Kirin 5G processors.
As of now, the Chinese tech giant will focus more on a premium product strategy. Huawei now aims to develop a leading AI-powered full-scenario experience for users.
The executive revealed that with a large number of HarmonyOS devices like smartphones and tablets, Huawei aims to drive the rise of the Chinese consumer market, giving way to more native products instead of Apple or any other US brand.
On the other hand, the chief said that the company will continue to make its Celia AI assistant smarter and more convenient for its users. It will integrate more interesting AI capabilities into the Celia and self-driving agents to boost efficieny of the devices and smart vehicles.
HarmonyOS devices already feature many interesting AI features in 2026 that other brands still lack, and Huawei seems to have more strategies on this topic.
Huawei has also slid into the “open-source” subject. It believes that the starting and ending point of an ecosystem are developers and Huawei can only gain an opportunity when partners and developers succeed in the technological race.
