Huawei Mate 90 Pro Max is now rumored to debut with a new 10x periscope zoom camera. While the smartphone will go official in the second half of this year, its outline has begun to take shape in advance through leaks and rumors for key specifications.
DigitalChatStation on Weibo reported about a new handset that will debut by the end of this year. The device is currently in testing with a 10x periscope imaging sensor.
Even though the tipster didn’t disclose the name of the device, netizens began speculating it to be Huawei Mate 90 Pro Max flagship, featuring a 10x zoom camera this time.
According to the leaked details, the Mate 90 Pro Max will continue the legacy of the dual-periscope sensors on the rear module. Of course, the company will upgrade this part with advanced imaging lenses, uplifting the photography bar to a whole new level.
On the other hand, the upcoming Mate PRO MAX smartphone will equip a 6.9-inch big screen with probably a customized display technology, enhancing the viewing experience.

For comparison, the Mate 80 Pro Max comes with a 6.9-inch dual-layer OLED screen that offers FHD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 8000 nits maximum brightness, and a second-generation Kunlun Glass for scratch + drop resistance.
Besides, the premium-grade device features a dual-zoom camera setup with a 50MP super-focus macro telephoto camera (OIS + RYYB) and a 50MP super telephoto camera (OIS + RYYB). Other complementary sensors are main lens, ultrawide, and multispectral.
Mate 80 Pro Max supports 4x and 6.2x optical zoom with focal lengths of 24mm, 13mm, 90.5mm, and 140mm. In total, it has 12.4x optical zoom quality and 100x digital zoom.
This year, Huawei will launch the Mate 90 Pro Max smartphone and it would be quite interesting to see what new changes the flagship brings over its predecessor.
