Huawei Watch GT Runner 2 Racing Legend is already on sale in China, and the company has now showcased the device officially at the Nova 16 launch event. The device brings some special features over the 2nd-generation Runner Classic model.
During the Nova 16 series launch event, Huawei unveiled a handful of iconic devices, and one such creation is the Watch GT Runner 2 Racing Legend. It’s not merely a strap variant but includes a few prominent upgrades.
The first thing to notice in the Racing Legend wearable is its design. Watch GT Runner 2 comes in three colors: Dawn Orange (tri-tone orange + white + purple), Blue, and Black. But the new variant combines all these shades into one strap!
Watch GT Runner 2 Racing Legend comes with a quad-color strap design. The dial and other segments are the same as the standard model. But the colors – Blue, Red, White, and Green play an important role as they reflect some qualities:
- Blue = Discipline
- Red = Passion
- White = Belief
- Green = Persistence
These four shades embody four aspects of the marathon spirit. With this new creation, the smartwatch aims to accompany you in creating your own racetrack legend.

Speaking of the features, the Huawei Watch GT Runner 2 Racing Legend has a dynamic dial, which is full of rhythmic energy and can intuitively display your strengths and weaknesses in the form of precise metrics.
It shows recovery level in your running performance, RAI – Running Ability Index, weekly running duration, VO2 max (maximum amount of oxygen intake in your body), and training index. Just raise your wrist, and the dial will show all the details right away. In total, it has five running indicators:
- Recovery Level
- Running Power Index
- Weekly Running Volume
- Maximum Oxygen Uptake
- Training Index

Besides, the company has launched the first elite training management scale platform. Just log in to this platform via a Huawei account, and it will unveil your accurate training report. It’s basically a data dashboard that serves as a core overview page.
The rest of the features are the same as the original variant. The Racing Legend supports 32 hours of battery life, a 3D floating antenna to improve the positioning accuracy by 20%, an upgraded TruSense Health System, a special Marathon Mode, over 170000 golf courses, a video watch face, Live View, and more.
