A new leak suggests that Honor is trying to develop a MatePad Pro Max-like tablet with a punch-hole-free design for the front face. It seems Huawei’s latest large-screen creation has not only impressed consumers in the market but also some brands!
Weibo tipster @SmartPikachu noted that Honor is working on a punch-hole-free tablet, packed in a small-sized form factor. Instead of slimness, the OEM may focus on the portability of the upcoming MagicPad model.
The tipster adds that the company has many “next-generation OLED tablets” in the pipeline with both small and large screen sizes. These models have now entered the “development phase” and may soon step onto the launch stage.
One of these Honor creations, a no-punch-hole tablet, could also debut on the platform. The front design mentioned here can be similar to that of the Huawei MatePad Pro Max.
It is worth mentioning that devices like the MagicPad 4 already have a selfie lens within the bezels, but the approaching tablets might use an in-display front-facing sensor or some other tweaks this time with even thinner bezels – like Huawei.

Huawei recently launched the world’s slimmest tablet – MatePad Pro Max in both Chinese and global markets. While its 4.7mm design and 10400mAh battery have already taken center stage, its no-cutout look makes it more appealing to everyone.
With a notch-less, no-cutout design, MatePad Pro Max users can experience a pure, uninterrupted viewing experience whether you’re immersed in a game or a movie. Besides, the 13.2-inch flexible OLED screen delivers a massive 94% screen-to-body ratio.
Honor might be planning something similar with the upcoming MagicPad tablets. In terms of launch timeline, the tipster reported that one has to wait probably till the fourth quarter of this year to witness the compact no-punch-hole tablet.
