Xiaomi reportedly working on wide foldable against Pura X Max

Wide foldable phones are gaining a lot of traction in the market after Huawei launched the world’s first wide-screen Pura X Max, and it looks like Xiaomi is also planning to follow suit. Rumors have it that the firm is up with a wide fold device.

Apple, Samsung, and Honor are already in the headlines to introduce a wide dual-fold handset in the future. Now, a leak says that Xiaomi is also aiming for a wide foldable smartphone.

SmartPikachu reported that Xiaomi has seemingly started working on a wide folding device. It will likely be an easy-to-use handset with multiple smart AI capabilities.

The company could integrate an improved sidebar into the device with some interactive AI features. This addition will probably refine the productivity as well as help users to efficiently perform several operations at the same time.

Since the launch of Pura X, wide foldable phones have become a hot topic in the consumer market. After Huawei’s creation, Apple immediately bumped into rumors of working on a similar device with wide-wide display panels.

Pura X Max further fueled this fire with its iconic form factor, a new Celia AI companion, and Kirin 9030 Pro mobile chipset. Such a design not only helps with multitasking but also offers a 2-in-1 look, where you can use the device either as a phone or a tablet.

Being foldable, you don’t have to worry about its width as it will still fit in your pocket. What changes Xiaomi will bring with its rumored foldable is worth looking at.
