Huawei Kirin 2026 Pro chip performance could match Apple A19


Huawei Kirin 2026 Pro chip is garnering attention ahead of its official launch, and the latest leak about the processor suggests that it can match Apple A19 in performance. Besides, it could be just 3% less efficient than the 3nm A19 Pro mobile SoC.

Weibo tipster @SuperDimensional says that the Huawei Kirin 2026 Pro chip performance is equivalent to the standard Apple A19 chip. The upcoming SoC will deliver significantly higher-end operation fluency compared to the earlier Kirin versions.

Apple launched the A19 chip series last year with the iPhone 17 series. It is a 3nm processor (N3P) and features six-core CPUs with 2 performance and 4 efficiency cores.

Details reveal that the A19 chip has an 8MB L2 cache for performance cores and a 4MB L2 for efficiency cores, sharing a 12MB system-level cache (SLC).

It has a 5-core GPU with built-in Neural Accelerators optimized for ray tracing, mesh shading, and AI matrix operations. The SoC further supports memory bandwidth up to 68.3 GB/s. It provides massive leaps in on-device AI, prolonged AAA gaming, and thermal regulation over the A18 series.

Huawei mentioned earlier that the upcoming Kirin chipsets will deliver 3nm process-like performance. Now, leaks are shedding light on the exact range of task fluency.

The tipster revealed the expected core configuration of the Kirin 2026 Pro. It will likely provide more than 3.0GHz frequency for the first time, ensuring a performance boost.

Note that Huawei has just confirmed the measures it will use to develop 2026 Kirin chips. However, the actual core configuration is still under wraps. Perhaps more leaks will clear the air on this segment.
