Huawei FreeClip 2 Collector’s Edition has stepped into the global market with a new name – FreeClip 2 S. The company has brought the newly crafted open-back earbuds to Japan at present and will soon expand its reach to more markets.
Huawei FreeClip 2 S debuted globally in two shades: Deep Sea Blue and Pearl Silver. It is open for pre-orders on Makuake with 28% off. The company will soon release the new audio wearable for purchase. However, the timeline is uncertain.
Unlike the standard model, the FreeClip 2 S has a beautiful dome-shaped box design. Meanwhile, the earphones follow the same C-bridge appearance that can easily clip around your ear handles.
The company has only revealed the design theory behind the FreeClip 2 S. It has an ultra-compact size with up to 20% more interior space. Huawei has used skin-friendly liquid silicone to craft the open-back earphones.
FreeClip 2 S has ultra-high-performing dual-diaphragm drivers that boost overall volume by 100%, enhance the sound features with vibrant and high-quality sound, and provide an immersive audio experience.
It also equips a 3rd-gen NPU AI audio chip that delivers an overwhelmingly smart listening experience. Kirin NPU AI chipset, third-generation, further offers 10 times the processing power compared to the previous-gen model.
With the help of a new chip, it processes all audio signals more efficiently, delivering the most immersive experience. Other features include spatial audio, AI head tracking, Bluetooth 6.0, call noise reduction, and AI touch gestures.
Huawei has also integrated an AI voice assistant with a single touch. Users can join the AI chat and get brainstorming ideas for their queries. FreeClip 2 S offers 38 hours of battery life with the charging case and 9 hours of constant use of the buds.
The company will soon launch the Huawei FreeClip 2 S earbuds in more markets with an official release. Stay tuned.
