Honor is preparing new smartphones for the second half of this year – one is the ROBOT PHONE coming in August, while the other is the Magic 9 series tentatively scheduled for October. Although the company hasn’t announced these timelines officially.
Weibo tipster @SmartPikachu noted that Honor will launch two incredible devices in the upcoming months: ROBOT PHONE and the flagship regular Magic 9 series.
The ROBOT PHONE is expected to debut in August while the Honor Magic 9 handsets could go official in October. The company hasn’t confirmed these details yet.
According to some Honor officials, the ROBOT PHONE will launch in the third quarter of this year. The OEM hasn’t mentioned the release timeline or month yet. However, many tipsters suggested that the incredibly formed device would show up in August.
On the other hand, the tech giant used to unveil the flagship Magic phone lineup by October. Perhaps it may follow the same timeline this year as well.
In the comments section, the tipster mentioned that the Magic 9 series will focus significantly on image stabilization. Whereas, the ROBOT PHONE can bring surprising video shooting capabilities due to its unique rotatable camera module.
Some previous reports suggested that the company is planning interesting upgrades for the upcoming models. For instance, Honor may implement a 200MP imaging sensor into the world’s first robotic-arm camera phone.
Meanwhile, the Magic 9 series could follow Samsung’s old approach and debut with an AI-powered stylus. If true, the flagship will give the vibe of both a regular phone and a productive tablet.
The company hasn’t confirmed any of these details yet. However, things may become clear on this matter in the coming months.
