Huawei is really making a true “5G” comeback on the global stage next week with the Pura 90s series. The company will launch its new-generation flagship camera smartphones on July 14, marking the return of its lost supremacy due to the US curbs.
Pura 90 series will make its way to the global platform in the next three days as the Pura 90s models. Perhaps the OEM may launch only two variants: Pro and Pro Max.
But the big highlight of this launch is that the global Huawei Pura 90 phones will support the 5G network, which is a true comeback for the firm in the overseas market.
Why so? Here’s the reason!
The Chinese tech giant lost its access to 5G-capable chipsets and GMS back in 2019 due to US sanctions for security reasons. While 2023 has been a turning point for the company with the Mate 60 Pro powered by 5G Kirin, it was kept exclusive to China.
Huawei silently released the Mate 70 series and then the top-end Pura phones in the global market. However, users outside were limited to 4G connectivity.
But things are going quite well this time, as many tipsters and even an official product database revealed that the Pura 90s Pro Max is the first 5G Huawei phone coming to the global smartphone market in a long time.
5G capability confirms that the Pura 90s Pro Max will deliver a stronger and more enhanced network experience to users than the previous Huawei global handsets.
A video leak mentioned that the device can provide more than 1100Mbps rate for downloading a file, ensuring speedy operations under stable connectivity.

Besides the 5G capability, the Huawei Pura 90 global series can surprise its users with Android 16-based EMUI 16. It would be interesting to see what this new software version brings to the table.
