Honor wide foldable likely to sport ARRI-based triple camera setup

Honor has collaborated with ARRI – a German camera solution producer to use its imaging sensors for its top-end devices, and it seems the company will likely adopt some cutting-edge ARRI-backed camera capabilities for its first wide foldable phone.

Weibo tipster @SmartPikachu noted that Honor is preparing a new, compact, wide foldable that may use an ARRI-based triple-camera setup. While the ROBOT PHONE and Magic 9 series are already part of this plan, the OEM is adding one more device.

The tipster said that Honor has a wide foldable phone that can enter the market by the first quarter of next year. Just like many other Honor creations, this folding handset may also feature a triple camera setup using ARRI imaging solutions.

The camera framework is expected to include a massive 200MP main lens, an advanced periscope zoom camera, and an ultrawide-angle shooter. On the flip side, it can bring new film-based filters, giving a cinematic touch to your snaps.

An early input suggested that Honor’s first wide folding model could feature dual 200MP imaging sensors: one for the primary lens and another for the zoom segment.

However, the company itself hasn’t confirmed these details yet. Thus, it is better to wait for some more revelations on the camera part of the Honor wide foldable.

Besides the imaging aspect, the Honor wide fold device is in rumors to install a 7000++ battery capacity. Being an Honor model, it is likely to see a surprising battery upgrade with the company’s first broad fold handset.
