Huawei has unveiled the 2026 version of its MateBook Fold Ultimate Design foldable notebook with a new chip and feature upgrade.
The key attraction to this notebook is its large foldable display, measuring 18 inches, dual-layer OLED with UTG ultra-thin glass. It offers a massive 92% screen-to-body ratio for a full-view experience when the device is unfolded.
The display supports high brightness and full HD+ resolution to view content on a large screen. These specs are coupled with an LTPO adaptive refresh rate for smooth visuals.

A notebook of this size requires a larger and stronger hinge. Huawei revealed that it has incorporated the largest waterdrop hinge for the 2026 MateBook Fold Ultimate Design.
This hinge powers its operations at different angles, including landscape, portrait, and flat. The hinge includes components made of zirconium-based liquid metal for smooth opening and closing and structural longevity.
It models incorporates a stylish textured and vegan leather cover for a luxury look and a better in-hand experience. The rear side has an integrated stand that provides stability while operating the device in landscape mode.

Huawei MateBook Fold brings all of the smart features, such as an on-screen keyboard and touchpad, and a split-screen view. The latest HarmonyOS 6.1 provides on-device AI to power features such as the smart voice assistant, AI models that provide productivity features, and more.
Huawei is shipping the MateBook Fold 2026 with an 8MP front-facing camera for video calls, conferencing, and photos. Upgrading the performance, the Huawei MateBook Fold brings a new Kirin X90 Plus chipset.

This large MateBook packs a 74.69Wh, 6400mAh battery and weighs only 1.16 kg.
Huawei MateBook Fold Ultimate Design 2026 comes in three variants: The 24GB + 512GB version costs 24999 yuan, the 24GB + 1TB at 2699 yuan, and 32GB+2TB priced at 29999 yuan.
