Huawei Mate 80 series continues to maintain its sales momentum and has crossed 750000 units in a record-breaking duration. It’s been a couple of weeks since the flagship has been in the market and it’s already making waves in the smartphone world.
A Weibo tipster mentioned that despite shortage problems in the Mate 80 stock, Huawei has shipped around 750000 units of this flagship lineup in two weeks!
Of course, that’s a big hit as the Mate 80 phones have already surpassed their rivals like the iPhone 17 and Xiaomi 17 series, at least in China, as per some reports.

The strong demand for the Mate 80 series is the result of excellent features and traits of the device. But the prime factor is its price. Regardless of many new technologies, the cost tag of the 2025 Mate models is affordable for almost everyone.

But here comes the drawback! This booming sale of the Mate 80 series has led to a shortage of units in the inventory. As a result, Huawei expanded the delivery time, especially for the Mate 80 Pro Max smartphone, by two months.
The tipster said:
“Yesterday, I called a Huawei store, and they said the Mate 80 Pro Max I ordered now would take two months to arrive, which is outrageous.”
Perhaps the company might avail the Mate 80 Pro Max by February 2026. No doubt Huawei will try to refill the stock as soon as possible. Though for now, we can expect a delay longer than just a week or two.
The constant rise in the demand for Mate 80 suggests that the lineup will also make a record in terms of lifespan shipments. It could go beyond just 10 or 14 millions by next year.
