Huawei has officially announced the next-generation MatePad 11.5 tablet (2025) with an eye and content-friendly anti-glare display. The teaser image confirms that the company will maintain the tablet’s slim form factor with a low-bezel profile across all corners.
One of the most important aspects of this tablet is its anti-glare display, which utilizes nano-etching technology and eliminates 97% of the direct light on the panel. It collectively reduces screen glare and eye strain, supporting safe and long-term use.
Furthermore, the display has a high color production rate and provides a paper-like feel to on-screen content. Besides this display, Huawei is also promoting smart features, such as the Huawei Notes app, a smart assistant powered by generative AI, and child mode.
In terms of appearance, the Huawei MatePad 11.5 tablet is fairly identical to its 2024 predecessor, but the camera module has a few changes. Also, it has new blue and pink finishes as shown in the teaser.

The teaser image indicates Huawei’s collaboration with SEMK holdings to feature B.Duck’s within the MatePad 11.5 (2025) tablet. B.Duck is a highly popular Chinese character IP, a cute, cheerful yellow duck, embodying the “Be PLAYFUL” spirit.
Huawei will unveil this new tablet on December 22 at a launch event headlined by the Nova 15 series smartphones at 2:30 PM (Beijing time).
