Huawei Nova 15 Series is now supporting the NearLink Audio feature but this capability is still far from the standard model. Don’t worry, as the new piece of information suggests, the respective phone will receive it through an OTA update.
NearLink Audio is one of Huawei’s latest wireless technologies. It fuses with HarmonyOS to offer a faster audio transmission rate, lower power use, and ultra-low latency, say around 1/30th of a millisecond.
The particular audio technology is also capable of enabling high-fidelity lossless sound and provides seamless experiences for AR/VR smart homes + wearables.
As a result, NearLink Audio technology is a potential Bluetooth successor for demanding audio and IoT applications. Many phones like the Pura 80, Mate 80, and others support this capability. And now Huawei is bringing it for Nova 15 as well.
Nova 15 Pro and Ultra handsets are receiving the new Huawei NearLink Audio feature. A Weibo tipster has revealed that the high-end Nova 15 handsets now support the next-generation NearLink Audio technology.
Sadly, the standard variant doesn’t support NearLink Audio yet. Though the tipster has mentioned that the specific smartphone will grab the new tech in 2026.
It is worth mentioning that the Nova 15 vanilla version will get NearLink Audio via an OTA upgrade next year. Hence, make sure to keep your Nova phone up-to-date with the latest software version and important patches.
Note that the NearLink Audio has qualified for the NearLink E2.0 certificate. It combines with Polar code technology, dedicated sound quality, audio solutions, and other capabilities to make the audio transmission more efficient and clearer.
