Xiaomi 17 Ultra supports dynamic video features including the LOFIC 4K 60FPS capability, though such benefits are missing for the flagship Pro models. The good news is that the company will soon bring these new add-ons to the Xiaomi 17 Pro.
Bao Xiao Li, the Camera Product Manager at Xiaomi, confirmed that the firm will soon push a new HyperOS 3.0 update for Xiaomi 17 Pro models to add LOFIC-powered video features such as the 4K 60FPS capability.
44K 60FPS video refers to the recording of ultra-high-definition video. It is a 4K resolution (3840 x 2160 pixels), offering smooth, fluid motion that is captured at 60 frames per second rather than 30fps. As a result, it is ideal for fast actions.
The respective video capability delivers significantly more detail as well as smoother motion than lower-frame-rate videos, making content more immersive.
Xiao Li noted that Xiaomi 17 Ultra supports LOFIC video functionalities, but such features are missing for other flagship siblings. Though the firm has now confirmed that Xiaomi 17 Pro models are compatible with 4K 60FPS capability.
Further, the executive revealed that Xiaomi 17 Pro smartphones will get the new feature before the Spring Festival (Chinese New Year 2026). He mentioned:
“The Xiaomi 17 Pro and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max will be compatible with 4K 60FPS LOFIC before the Spring Festival, resulting in excellent shooting performance.”
Perhaps, we may see the new features packed in the HyperOS 3.0 update for Xiaomi 17 Pro handsets by the end of this month. Stay tuned.
