Speaking of OmniVision’s new product, the OVB0D is a high-end 200MP CMOS imaging lens. The company has primarily designed the sensor as an alternative to Sony’s best cameras, with a format of 1/1.1-inch size.

The OVB0D camera uses advanced DCG+ (Dual Conversion Gain) LOFIC technology, promising an excellent dynamic range of up to 108dB. It has a dual on-chip reconstruction architecture compared to Sony’s complex QQBC framework.

Perhaps Honor will adopt this imaging component for its new-gen Magic handsets to deliver a more refined photography experience to users in every aspect.

For now, the Chinese tech giant is busy with the launch preparations of the Magic 8 Pro Air and RSR Porsche Design smartphones. Another phone that is reportedly in the pipeline is the Magic 8 Ultra, rumored to debut in the first half of 2026.
