Huawei has recently revealed that its smartwatches own a much larger market share than its phones. And the credit goes to the ultimate upgrades and technological capabilities. Over the years, the firm has really enhanced its wearables in every aspect.
Li Xiaolong, the CTO of Huawei Device Business Group, has shared a new post on Weibo, revealing some significant points about the company’s wearable lineup.
The CTO mentioned that Huawei smartwatches have a much larger market share than its smartphones. This has become possible with excellent and smarter features.
At the same time, the company has worked on the battery life of wearables. Whether it’s the GT series of the luxurious Ultimate, they run longer than many Apple and Samsung wrist gadgets.
Further, the chief mentioned that more than 30% of Huawei smartwatch users carry an Android or iPhone. Gladly, the company’s watches easily support all types of smartphone operating systems and offer a seamless user experience.
He added that this figure is constantly increasing in the global markets, giving tough competition to foreign rivals. Adding more, the Huawei executive stated:
“All Huawei watches and fitness trackers can be used normally regardless of whether the user has a Huawei, Android, or Apple phone. Currently, Huawei watches have a much larger market share than Huawei phones. In the Chinese market, over 30% of Huawei watches are used by non-Huawei phone users, and this percentage is even higher in overseas markets.”
In the current edition, Huawei is working on interesting smartwatches for 2026. Perhaps the upcoming creations will take the market share to more heights than at present.
