Honor has confirmed the battery life of Magic 8 Pro Air and shed light on the ultimate tech it has used for the new flagship. The company said that the upcoming Airy smartphone packs the highest energy density cell ever in a top-end handset!

The company today shared two new teasers on the Honor Magic 8 Pro Air battery tech. The device uses a 5500mAh Qinghai Lake cell coupled with 80W wired + 50W wireless fast charging, promising long battery life.

Users can enjoy watching their favorite movies or TV series, taking photos all day long, or shopping from morning till night, without worrying about recharging the phone.

But the highlight is the 917Wh/L high energy density, which is a new ultra-high volumetric energy density battery technology. It offers longer battery life in a compact size. Thus, the device uses a small, thin cell but delivers ultimate battery life.

917Wh/L high-energy-density batteries for smartphones adopt cutting-edge materials. These components help them to pack more power in a small size and easily fit in a phone’s limited internal space, leading to improved endurance.
