Huawei has made its way to the top 5 rankers in the new 2025 US Patent Grant listing. The company has surpassed several elite brands like Apple in the race and appeared in the fourth spot on the ranking for its amazing patent work throughout the year.
IFI Claims has published the list of the top 10 companies in the US Patent Grant 2025 department, and Huawei is one of them. The company has ranked in fourth place.
It has around 3052 authorized patents, around 6 patents extra from the previous year (3046). As a result, it is one step ahead in the ranking, pushing Apple on 6th spot.
Samsung Electronics ranked first with 7054 authorized patents and TSMC appeared in second place with 4194 granted patents. Qualcomm showed up in third position.
Huawei’s constant efforts in the R&D department helped it to make its way to the fourth rank. It has invested around 96.95 billion yuan in H1 2025 – a jump of 9.04% year-on-year, leading to a 22.7% of revenue growth.
The report highlighted that firms have tried to invest immensely in AI this year. But it didn’t progress as expected earlier. Still, the total number of US applications is 393,344 in 2025, with total US grants of 323,272.
