Huawei Mate 80 series is betting big on the company’s 2026 revenue as its sales have now crossed 2 million units. While the OEM is exploring the top-quality imaging capabilities for the Pura 90 models, its latest Mate handsets are reaching new heights in the market.
Smartphone sales analyst @RBObservation on Weibo revealed that the Huawei Mate 80 series has surpassed 2 million unit shipments in the second week of 2026.
That’s a big achievement for the 2025 Mate flagship lineup, as it has achieved a huge milestone within a month of its official release in the consumer market.
According to the tipster, the Mate 80 series has sold about 2.0573 million units as of the second week of 2026. It has reached the new sales mark in a few days, sparking a significant shipment figure (16-20 million) in the upcoming months.

Well, the credit for this new achievement also goes to impressive features and tech implementations in the Mate 80 series. The new phone lineup has really got some real upgrades this time that have given a tough spot to many foreign flagships.
Moreover, the all-new Kirin 5G chips with a 42% performance boost have tempted consumers to a greater extent. Features like the new AI outdoor mode, boosting the battery life to 14 days, and big displays with 8000 nits screen brightness have made an equal contribution to this victory.
Seeing the craze of fans for the Mate 80 series, the company is ramping up the Kirin chip production, which will ultimately end the shortage issue of the Mate 80 phones.
Thus, we can expect a better sales performance for the Huawei Mate 80 series by the end of its lifespan. It would be worth seeing how many sales units it scores before the official unveiling of the Pura 90 smartphones.
