After taking back its hold on the Chinese phone market for 2025, Huawei is now up to battle Apple for 2026. Both companies currently own the top two positions. Although they are wrestling to gain the leading place with their creative innovations.
Smart Chip Insider on Weibo has revealed the top phone makers in China and their performance in the first two weeks of 2026. Apple is seating on the first rank while Huawei appeared in the second spot with a slight market share difference.
The chart showed that both Apple and Huawei are now wrestling for the leading position in the 2026 Chinese phone market. The former is gaining traction for its iPhone 17 models while the latter is in the buzz for its ultra-dynamic Mate 80 series.
According to the tipster’s insights, Apple accounts for a market share of 19.71% in the second week of 2026 (January 5th to January 11th). Huawei is following the iPhone maker in the second spot with a share of 18.46%.
In 2026, Huawei will debut two new flagships: Pura 90 and Mate 90, with iconic Nova handsets, packed with even more interesting camera tech and AI features.

OPPO sits in third place with a market share of 15.54%. It counts the sales share of OPPO, OnePlus, and realme. Meanwhile, the fourth rank goes to Vivo with a market share of 15.17%, combining the profit of Vivo flagship + iQOO models.
Fifth place is being ruled by Xiaomi – thanks to its top-end models and Redmi smartphones that helped the firm gain a market share of 13.57%. Honor appeared in the sixth spot with 13.03% market share.
That’s for the first and second week of 2026. Though we have to see how these companies and their upcoming creations will fight for the first spot throughout the year!
