HyperOS 3.1 is in the testing phase as Xiaomi is adding new features to the version and a new leak suggests interesting UI tweaks as well as the Apple AirPods support with this upgrade. The company may also introduce new customizations with this build.
The latest HyperOS 3.0.300 beta version for the top-end Xiaomi 17 and Redmi K90 smartphones is rolling out. It brings features like a dedicated password app, support for card swiping to access the Hyper Island on the lock screen, and more.
One of these new features is the Apple AirPods support for HyperOS 3.1 devices. The devices will drop a pop-up on Xiaomi phones when users open the case. They will offer full support for Spatial Audio, Find My Device, and deep integration.

The addition enhances the interconnectivity of Xiaomi phones with Apple products:
- Xiaomi phones can share recordings when placed close to the NFC area of an iPhone.
- Xiaomi phones are now compatible with AirPods and shows quick connection pop-up for battery check, spatial audio access, and more.
- One-click copy support for iPhones when synced with Xiaomi phones via SMS verification.
- Supports iPhones receiving calls from Xiaomi phones and vice versa.
Besides, the company is planning to tweak the user interface for certain segments of the device. For instance, we can see a new music player for the lock screen and Hyper Island support for Xiaomi tablets with HyperOS 3.1.
These changes are in the pipeline and may soon show up in eligible models for both global and Chinese users.
