Honor Watch GS 5 recently made its debut, featuring several heart-health features and the longest battery life. It seems a tech brand finally has a significant response to Huawei’s ultimate smartwatches with the highest battery life until now!
No doubt, Huawei has actually shown its foreign rivals like Samsung and Apple, what a true smartwatch battery upgrade is. It not only increased the durability of its wearable by two or three days, but also by more than a week!
On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy smartwatches run for 2-3 days in typical use with AOD, 80 hours in normal use, and 100 hours in the power saving mode.
Apple Watch Ultra can make up to 42 hours without the need to charge. But something like 21 days (in power saving mode) straight without any charger is crazy!
However, Honor has just broken Huawei’s longest smartwatch battery life record in 2026 with the Watch GS 5. It can work impressively for up to 23 days – the highest number of days for a smartwatch’s battery to run without the charger.
Watch GS 5 stands out among premium smartwatches not only in price but also due to its battery life. Users can operate the wearable’s normal features and health tools without any concerns of missing out from the battery life.
The wearable uses a 495mAh silicon-carbon battery pack that delivers 9 days when in AOD mode (Always-On Display). Other than the extremely impressive battery life, the device is also the first to support research for sudden cardiac arrest.
Watch GS 5 has a 1.32-inch circular AMOLED screen with 1500 nits peak brightness. The dial is surrounded by a 44mm aluminum alloy case, while the back utilizes a reinforced polymer fiber.
It weighs around 26 grams and is 9.9mm thick with a single operating button and a rotating crown. You can check more details about the device HERE.
