Huawei is prepared to celebrate the 2026 Chinese Spring Festival with a new update that brings special features such as a dedicated camera watermark.
This update focuses on personalization to increase the festive joy for users. It adds special options such as a limited-time Spring festival watermark and artistic signatures for the Year of the Horse. It also has some new AI editing features, call summary, and more.
The key highlight of the update is the limited-time Lunar New Year watermark, which users can add to photographs, which can be added to photographs before March 8, 2026. Moreover, the background color of photographs and text can also be customized.
Users will see a new Year of the Horse signature with festive themes and similar text greetings. Furthermore, Huawei has added new theme modules that users can customize to match their styles.
The Gallery app has introduced an AI-powered editing feature, enabling users to replicate photo styles with a single tap. Additionally, the phone service now supports call summaries, allowing you to read key conversation details and review them later from the call log.

After this update, users will be able to find their car in a parking space with more precision. The feature now automatically remembers the floor number and parking space in an underground parking.
Furthermore, phones will now power high-quality audio output with the NearLink audio system, offering stronger anti-interference and a lower latency audio experience. That’s not it, the update brings the XMAGE camera system with an enhanced color palette, supporting eight pre-built styles and color customizations.
The Huawei Share app feature will get a new fireworks festival effect while using the Tap to Share and Air Transfer features during the course of the Spring festival.
Huawei is rolling out the 2026 Spring Festival update with HarmonyOS 6 build version 6.0.0.130, and the first batch of models will be the most recent flagships, such as the Mate 80 series and the Pura 80 series. However, it will expand to other devices.
