Honor has new strategy against Apple’s first iPhone Fold

Apple’s first iPhone Fold is already making headlines on the internet for its broad body to take over champion folding devices, but it seems Honor has a new strategy against this solid creation. This new move can help it maintain its spot in the foldable smartphone race.

Before moving on to the Honor chapter, let’s check how Apple’s iPhone Fold can become a real competitor to Huawei, Honor, and even Samsung foldable devices.

iPhone Fold will reportedly take a wider shape. Instead of going vertical or horizontal, the device will adopt a book-flip style – somewhat similar to the Huawei Pura X, but a bit broader! We can say that it’s a completely different form factor.

Some tipsters even compared the mockup design of the Apple iPhone Fold to other branded foldable handsets like the Pura X, Galaxy Z TriFold, and the Galaxy Z Fold 7. And the design is really good + competitive enough!

The US tech giant is entering the foldable market for the first time, raising consumers’ excitement for a major showdown this year. Every foldable phone maker is also working on their upcoming creations to challenge Apple’s first-ever foldable.

And one such is Honor, but with a different strategy. Rather than polishing its Magic V Fold/Flip model against Apple, the company is planning to unveil a special wide foldable smartphone by the end of this year.

While the details of this new device are unclear, it is expected to replace the Honor Magic Vs foldable lineup, that didn’t see a new addition in a couple of years.

Moreover, the upcoming wide foldable will also make noise in the market for its affordable pricing. Well, that’s something Apple has yet to learn on for its devices that continues to touch skies with major or even minimal upgrades.

Perhaps we will continue to see only two Honor foldable phones this year. One is, of course, the Magic V6 that will make its world premiere at the MWC26 event, and the second is a mysterious wide fold model that might halt the development of the Magic V Flip 3 for 2026.
