Huawei has upgraded its strategic cooperation agreement with the WPS Kingsoft office team and promised to unveil smarter productivity features for HarmonyOS 6 phones in 2026. The company has signed this deal particularly for its folding devices.
WPS Office shared a post on Weibo, showing the cooperation agreement with Huawei. It says that both companies will continue to work together in 2026, bringing more innovative features to phone and tablet users.
The CEO of Huawei Consumer Business Group Unit, He Gang, reposted the news saying that HarmonyOS 6 phones will receive smarter office features in 2026.
Even though Huawei devices have some of the best office tools that boost productivity to the next level. However, when it comes to foldable phones, things aren’t as simple as they seem to be!
He Gang said that the new cooperation will overcome many challenges, including the dual-screen speaker mode for foldable handsets and PCs, as well as the ability to create presentations in just a single tap or in one command.
At the same time, the company will debut features like one-touch image transfer or document sharing, and instant opening of large PDF or Excel files later this year.
The CEO added:
“This cooperation escalates, we and WPS are bringing more new experiences in the field of AI smart office. Let me tell you: HarmonyOS color features like document or image transfer, PDF/Excel large file instant opening, etc., will be launched this year to continue create a more useful office for everyone.”
On the other hand, WPS said that both companies will continue to work in 2026 and implement more innovative features, bringing a smoother full-scenario office experience to everyone, and work together to draw a new future for the HarmonyOS office ecosystem.
