Huawei Pura X2 will likely debut in the first half of this year with several sophisticated specs alongside stronger tech capabilities to rival Apple’s first-ever iPhone Fold. Ahead of this action, a new leak is now showing a big comparison between these two foldable smartphones.
A Weibo tipster has shared top specs and launch details of the Huawei Pura X2 and Apple iPhone Fold. These points reveal which foldable can lead in the folding device market with its fascinating characteristics.
Starting with the release date, the tipster said the Pura X2 could show up in the market by April 2026. While Huawei’s second-gen Pura clamshell continues to remain shrouded in the launch mystery, the latest leak hints at a possible timeline for it.
Meanwhile, the iPhone Fold will probably debut in September 2026 with the high-end iPhone 18 models. As per early inputs, the first foldable can push the standard iPhone 18 launch to 2027.
Display: Huawei Pura X2 may retain the 16:10 wide screen with probably new design changes. On the other hand, Apple could use a 4:3 screen for its foldable.

Apple iPhone Fold might go minimal in the camera department. It could maintain stable performance in photography with strong video recording functionalities. However, it may feature fewer lenses than Huawei’s flip-flop device.
Regarding the battery and charging, the tipster said that Huawei will use a larger battery for the Pura X2 compared to the first Pura foldable with 100W fast charging. He also mentioned that charging is incredibly fast this time.
Apple will also use a large battery, but a much slower charging speed. It might be similar to the previous-gen iPhone models. For performance, Huawei will, of course, rely on Kirin + HarmonyOS, while Apple may use the latest A-series of chips + iOS.
Huawei Pura X2 is expected to offer a cost-effective price, say 7000 yuan, that can be affordable for everyone. Although Apple iPhone Fold could have a double rate to that of Pura X2, with 14000 yuan.
