Huawei could soon unveil a special ‘Phantom Purple’ color variant for the MatePad Mini tablet. The company may launch the new shade in two RAM + storage options. Though the release timeline of this new addition is currently unclear.
UncleKanshan noted that the Huawei MatePad Mini will soon get a new color variant – Phantom Purple. The firm will bring this shade for 256GB and 512GB storage options.
Besides, this shade will only be available for the Reading Edition with a PaperMatte screen technology. It seems Huawei is trying to complete its “Purple Edition”.
The company has launched several devices in the Purple color variant last year. From the Mate XTs triple foldable, to the Mate 80 RS and the new Royal Gold + Purple Watch Ultimate wearable, all types of products have the purple shade.

Although such a color variant is missing from the tablet lineup. Perhaps this is why the Chinese tech giant is bringing a similar shade for the MatePad Mini.
MatePad Mini Reading Edition comes in two colors: Obsidian Black and Snow White. And now the company is seemingly planning a new color for the respective tablet.
Purple is one of the most classic and premium color tones in the Huawei product family. While it usually debuts for the “Ultimate Design” models featuring beautiful aesthetics, the company is now bringing it for Apple iPad Mini’s rival.
It is unclear when Huawei will launch the new color variant for the Mini tablet. Though there is a chance that this Phantom Purple shade may debut alongside the Pura X2 foldable on the launch stage.
