Xiaomi smartphone users recently reported a frustrating FPS drop issue during gaming scenarios. This problem was related to a specific app and not the device, though it has been troubling users for some time. Finally, the company has fixed it!
Starting with the issue, the Game Turbo app by Xiaomi, which is a plugin of the HyperOS Security app, was showing a nasty FPS drop issue while gaming.
Game Turbo is a system-level utility on all Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO phones. It optimizes gaming performance by boosting the CPU or GPU usage, reducing the overall lag, and managing resources in the device.
Although some smartphone users noted that the app is resulting in FPS (Frames Per Second) drop in gaming. It is a sudden, temporary decrease in the frame rate that makes the game stutter, freeze, or slow down the entire performance.
The good news is that Xiaomi has fixed this issue with the latest update for the app. Users still struggling while playing their favorite games can download the new version – 12.3.0-260211.1.1.
While the changelog doesn’t show any new changes or improvements, the update aims to improve the functioning of the Game Turbo and ensure a fix to the FPS drop issue.
Xiaomi is distributing the new app update with the new Xiaomi HyperOS Security app version. Hence, users have to make sure that the Security app is running on the latest version before downloading the Game Turbo app update.
