Huawei today shared another teaser for its Runner smartwatch, and this time, the company has suggested a new and smarter “location feature” for the upcoming wearable. This add-on will enable you to track your step and position more accurately!
The company’s new creation is a sports wearable. Huawei has designed it mainly for runners to easily track their performance and improve with the watch’s efficient features.
Earlier, Huawei shed light on the Runner Watch’s performance by saying that the device will support runners every step of the way with notable functions and smarter tech capabilities.
In the latest edition, the company has teased an ultra-precision location feature for the Huawei Runner smartwatch. The new capability will help users to trace their position accurately on the wearable, irrespective of the place or network.

The company also shared a video, asking, “How precise is your location?” In the clip, it showed three challenges for runners: Skyscrapers, Urban Canyon, and Bored Tunnel.
Notably, these places often experience interference, reflections, as well as depletion of satellite signals like GPS. As a result, users face errors even with good signals.
But looks like Huawei Runner Watch’s Ultra-Precision Positioning will provide highly accurate location data, ranging from sub-meter in open areas to centimeter level in indoor environments.
What exact technology Huawei will use for ultra-precision positioning is currently unclear. Although the teaser suggests that the runner won’t face any kind of obstacle in finding the location or their position while practicing. Let’s wait for a few more days to get detailed revelations of this new feature.
