RDObservation has once again dropped the report for the 2025 Chinese phone market, this time analysing the premium section, showing Huawei and Apple at the top.
The report shows the performance of the top five smartphone brands in the Chinese premium phone market for the entire year (2025). All tech vendors did well, but the iPhone maker accounts for more than half of the market share.
iPhone maker holds 73.5% of the 2025 Chinese premium phone market share. The company’s strong influence and excellent iPhone design shift have made it stand at the top of the ranking.
iPhone 17 series debuted not as a simple iteration but as a breakthrough in the Apple smartphone family. No more same design or simple imaging touch-ups, but the new lineup launched with a significant upgrade in looks and internal specs.
Huawei ranked second on the platform with 20.2% market share. Despite iPhone 17 taking all the spotlight, the Chinese OEM managed to take second place – thanks to the Mate 80 series that broke all records in the Mate phone family.

Surprisingly, Huawei has appeared as the only “real competitor” against Apple, at least in the Chinese premium phone market. Other brands like Samsung, Honor, Xiaomi have appeared in a 1-digit market share listing:
- Samsung (Other Brands) ranked third: 3.9% market share
- Honor ranked fourth: 0.8% market share
- Vivo ranked fifth: 0.7% market share
- OPPO ranked sixth: 0.6% market share
- Xiaomi ranked seventh: 0.4% market share
Huawei still has a strong and loyal user base that continues to support the company in every even and odd situation. The OEM is now ready to launch innovative products in 2026. Let’s see whether these newbies will help the firm to take the first spot in the premium phone market.
