Huawei has finally confirmed the name of its upcoming flagship wearable – the WATCH GT RUNNER 2. The company has shared a new teaser on its global X page, revealing how it has used the expertise of a professional running team to craft the new creation!
The 39-second video teaser begins with a question. It says that the brand-new Huawei WATCH GT RUNNER 2 is a product co-created by Huawei and runners, and asks Eliud about his experience during this co-creation procedure.
In response, Eliud Kipchoge, the brand ambassador of the new Runner smartwatch, said that the co-creation is quite rewarding to him and he’ll continue to give suggestions to improve the smartwatch experience for runners and everyone.

During this small interaction, Huawei revealed the official moniker of the new flagship wearable. Interestingly, the name suggests that the company is ready to reintroduce its RUNNER watch lineup, but in a completely new avatar this time.
Huawei said:

The new Watch GT Runner 2 will debut as the predecessor of the Watch GT Runner. It will, of course, feature several interesting and significant upgrades over the previous-gen model. And one of them will be an ultra-precision positioning.
Apart from the official name, Huawei hasn’t shed light on any other details of the upcoming smartwatch. Though it suggests that the new wearable will be fully dedicated to runners with extremely amazing sports and running-based features.
