Huawei Mate 70 Air is seemingly doing better in sales than its competitors, like the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge and Apple’s slimmest iPhone. A new report has shed light on how the ultra-thin Mate phone continues to garner attention in the market.
RDObservation page on Weibo reveals that the Huawei Mate 70 Air sales have reached 120,000 units as of the 47th week of this year. That shows the new device is gaining enough name and fame in the market to challenge its slim rivals.
The tipster has only revealed the shipment figure of the Mate 70 Air. It did not highlight the comparison of iPhone Air and Huawei’s slim phone sales. But the details suggest that the newly launched Airy-light device is really doing well.
Mate 70 Air debuted in China on November 6 and went on official sale on November 11. The device has sold 120,000 units in just 12 days, which is no less than a surprise!
Another netizen in the comments section mentioned that Mate 70 Air is just selling crazy in the market – thanks to its super slim + light design as well as high-performance. The sales figure of the device is even better than the Xiaomi 15s Pro.

Amid this news, several netizens asked whether one should choose the new Mate 80 vanilla version of the ultra-thin Air smartphone. Others responded that consumers should go for the newly-launched Mate 80 as it comes with even better features.
Of course, the standard Mate 80 has more interesting features and upgrades over the Mate 70 Air. Whether it’s a chipset, 3D Face Recognition, a second-gen multispectral camera, or the HarmonyOS 6.0 special features.
Hence, one can go for the standard Mate 80 smartphone over Huawei’s slimmest phone. Though if you are a battery fan, then the Mate 70 Air can be the right choice.
