Huawei’s self-developed HarmonyOS has recently won a global award for its super interactive and user-friendly UI experience. It has obtained the 2026 iF Design Award, hosted by a German International Forum Design Company, for its easier and innovative user-interface.
On March 10, Huawei revealed that its self-developed HarmonyOS UI and UX Design have achieved global recognition with the 2025 iF Design Award. The German host of the award ceremony stated:
“Good design will naturally resonate with the world.”
After several years of reliance on Android, Huawei launched its self-made and real operating system – HarmonyOS NEXT (free of Android) last year with smarter features, safer functions, and efficient performance + user experience.
Over time, the company has improved the software system in every aspect – from integrating new AI features to making its devices a better and safer place for users’ confidential data. Thus, it won’t be wrong to say Huawei has enhanced HarmonyOS to a greater extent.

Following a detailed inspection of HarmonyOS, iF Design Award host said Huawei’s in-house operating system offers perfect UX Design, prominent features, and a user-friendly UI experience in every field, from smart cars to smart home products and TVs.
“Huawei’s award demonstrates its profound experience and forward-looking exploration in the field of intelligent device interaction design.”
The company reveals that it ensured focus on every moment of interaction with users. Be it 90+ features of the HarmonyOS cockpit with one-tap easy controls, magic gestures for Smart Home products, or other devices. It adds:
“Awards are recognition, but more importantly, they are motivation. In the future, we will continue to let design speak for itself, bringing users more refined and user-friendly UX designs!”
