Samsung has finally entered the tri-fold race to challenge Huawei with the Galaxy Z creation and it looks like Xiaomi could become the next rival in this competition. A new input suggests that the company is cooking its own tri-foldable innovation!
XiaomiTime noted a new Xiaomi foldable phone at the GSMA database and suspected it to be a tri-fold device, just like Huawei and Samsung launched this year.
GSMA refers to the Global System for Mobile Communications Association – a company that represents mobile network operators and the broader mobile ecosystem. It also holds standards to check phones, driving innovation, and hosts MWC events.
The device has appeared on the site with the model number 2608BPX34C. While the listing didn’t reveal any major details about the new model, some netizens speculated it to be the most-anticipated MIX TriFold phone.

In 2018, Xiaomi showed its first-ever triple foldable phone concept. Later, tech vendors like Huawei, Samsung, and more started working on this unique idea.
While Huawei became the first smartphone maker to introduce a tri-fold in the world, Xiaomi didn’t appear anywhere in this race. But it seems the firm can step into this trend by next year.
Xiaomi is seemingly working on two folding phones for 2026: Xiaomi 17 Fold and the MIX Flip 3. In that case, the third foldable device – probably the alleged tri-fold could debut in the third quarter of next year with some strong capabilities.
That will eventually raise the competition in the triple-folding phone field. Huawei has been the sole champion in this area for two years. But Samsung has now challenged the firm with its new Galaxy Z TriFold that has iconic functionalities.
Let’s see what Xiaomi’s alleged tri-foldable will bring to the table to rival the existing top-notch triple-folding handsets.
