Xiaomi 17 Ultra flagship continues to garner traction in the market for its amazing camera technologies and meanwhile, a Plus smartphone variant has started emerging in the leaks. This new device seems to have some notable upgrades!
According to the tipster @DigitalChatStation, a new smartphone is in the testing stage with minor upgrades. It may have an average-sized screen and a robust chip.
Even though the tipster hasn’t revealed the name of the device, netizens have speculated that it is the Xiaomi 17 Plus. It will likely debut in the first half of 2026.
The leak says that the phone will feature a 6.8-inch to 6.9-inch display with ultra-narrow bezels. Interestingly, Xiaomi has also shifted to the flat screen idea to offer more durability, precise touch input, and a consistent viewing experience.
In terms of the chipset, the new Xiaomi 17 Plus may use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. It’s the same processor the company has used in Ultra and Leica Edition.

Apart from the chipset and screen, Xiaomi may also use a new periscope zoom camera for the Plus smartphone. Other details of this model are still behind the doors. Based on the new leak, it seems the device won’t feature any major tech.
Xiaomi has launched the new-gen Ultra model on Christmas, and now it is planning for a new Plus variant. Although the company didn’t mention any details about the respective model yet. Let’s see what exactly the phone brings to the board.
