Huawei has officially announced that its Pura 90 series flagship is launching on April 20. This launch date has been anticipated for the past few weeks, while leaks and rumors continue to spread online, showing the phone’s imminent arrival.
The first look reveals that the phone is keeping the rear design identical to the previous generation, but the striking feature is the new color scheme, which takes us back to the gradient era started by the Huawei P20 Pro. Among these, the new orange and blue gradient is looking absolutely insane.
Adding the new color scheme makes the phone stand out among all the previous-gen devices despite the same design.
The frame is flat, and the rear camera system is triangle shaped large bump on the top left corner. Similarly, the phone will come with different cameras, including telephoto lens technology for a near and far zoom range. The camera will be powered by the upgraded XMAGE imaging system for better post-capture image composition.
On the other hand, the company has unveiled two versions – Huawei Pura 90 Pro and Pura 90 Pro Max. It appears that the Ultra version will no longer be available in the charts, but an official confirmation is awaited.
Last year, Huawei revealed three devices: Huawei Pura 80, Pura 80 Pro, and Pura 80 Ultra. Changing the name won’t bring any major changes. However, Huawei has recently spotted adopting the Pro Max name across all lineups, and the Pura 90 series may not be any different.
Besides, the Pura 90 series is expected to feature a polished Kirin chipset, with improved performance for on-device AI and supporting fluency with the HarmonyOS 6 operating system.
Huawei has been working on HarmonyOS for quite long and its performance integration with the system-level chip has been optimized for maximum efficiency. These are just a few of the observations, and the Huawei Pura 90 series will be launching with even more surprises on April 20.
