First HyperOS 3.1 stable update is out for these Xiaomi devices


It’s official! Xiaomi has released the first stable update of HyperOS 3.1 to its top-end devices. The Android 16-based software iteration is currently rolling out in China. However, we may see it for global smartphones and tablets by the end of this month.

As first noted by XiaomiTime, the HyperOS 3.1 stable update is live for flagship Xiaomi devices in the home ground. While the company has opened the latest firmware to only a few handsets at present, it’ll expand it soon to more eligible devices.

Coming to the devices, HyperOS 3.1 (Android 16) software upgrade is now rolling out for these four devices with the following firmware versions:

  • Xiaomi 17: HyperOS 3.0.301.0
  • Xiaomi 17 Pro: HyperOS 3.0.301.0
  • Xiaomi 17 Pro Max: HyperOS 3.0.301.0
  • Redmi K90 Pro Max: HyperOS 3.0.301.0

Speaking of the features, HyperOS 3.1 focuses on improving several small and large aspects of the devices. It optimizes the display effects, fixes system issues, enhances the Smart Assistant, and improves the system app functionalities.

  • Gallery: Optimize the smoothness in some scenarios and improve the user experience (App is recreated with Rust).
  • Weather: Fix the problem of unresponsive weather in some scenarios (App is recreated with Rust).
  • Status Bar + Notification Bar: Fix the abnormal display of the network icon in the status bar in some scenarios.
