Huawei’s self-developed software system is just making new standards and a new report suggests that HarmonyOS 5.0 has now surpassed 30 million installations. That’s really a big achievement for the company right before the end of 2025.
A tipster on Weibo noted that Huawei HarmonyOS 5.0 has crossed around 30 million installations. Up to this point, the total device units have reached 30.0548 million!
Just three weeks ago, HarmonyOS NEXT reached 27 million device base, pointing out that the daily installation for this particular OS has increased by 100,000 units.
Interestingly, the self-developed Huawei operating system has touched the mark of 30 million. That says, HarmonyOS 5.0 saw an installation hike of 3 million units in just three weeks (less than a month).
For reference, the tipster revealed that applications like Smart Distribution Service and Celia (which come to a phone alongside HarmonyOS) have an installation figure of 29.81 million and 29.77 million, respectively.
HarmonyOS 5.0 has made a wide consumer base, and the credit goes to Huawei for seeding this software version in every device, be it the entry-level Enjoy smartphones, Nova handsets, folding models, tablets, wearables, smart TVs, and more.
In the meantime, the company has introduced HarmonyOS 6.0 with even better features and improvements. It has reshaped security with smarter tools and optimized multitasking with iconic AI functionalities. It would be worth seeing what else the future HarmonyOS versions will bring to the table.
