Honor 600 series may soon go global, skipping an entire generation

Honor 600 series has started qualifying for global certifications and there is still no sign of the previous-generation models’ release in the overseas market. It seems the company might skip an entire generation for its global consumers this time.

According to the details, the Honor 600 and Honor 600 Pro visited the GCF certificate database. This new move suggests that the company will soon introduce a new-gen digital smartphone series in the global market.

But that also points out a major twist!

Perhaps Honor may skip the launch of the Honor 500 series models in the overseas market, in favor of the 600 series. The new handsets (Honor 600/Pro) have appeared on the database with VKJ-NX9 and VKP-NKJ model numbers, respectively.

GCF (Global Certification Forum) database confirms that a mobile phone or IoT products (phones, wearables, and more can correctly interoperate with wireless networks. It checks the reliability of devices across different networks.

Apart from the GCF platform, the Honor 600 and 600 Pro also showed up on the Google One membership and eSIM database, suggesting more enhanced features and eSIM capability. Though the key specs of this phone lineup are still under wraps.

Honor 500 series debuted last year in November. Since then, the global consumers have been looking forward to this lineup due to its impressive appearance and a stronger battery life with 8000mAh capacity.

While the company unveiled new flagship models in January 2025, like the Magic 8 Pro Air and the Magic 8 RSR Porsche Design, it didn’t give way to the Honor 500 series for the global debut.

Now the company is up with another digital series, but there’s still no clue about the global Honor 500 phones. Hence, it looks like the tech giant may skip an entire generation, giving way to the Honor 600 series for the global market.
