Honor is exploring the latest imaging technologies for the Magic 9 series, but it seems the company will adopt a special type of security upgrade for the lineup, inspired by Huawei. Yes, the OEM may finally bring the most useful privacy feature.
Magic smartphone maker is known for its extraordinary AI technologies. From camera to AI services, the company owns the best devices as per consumers’ demand.
Though one of the aspects where it recently lost the game to its parent is the privacy segment, with a feature called AI anti-peeping. Huawei is the only brand at present to introduce the most important privacy feature to its flagship devices.
Ever been in a crowded place like a subway, elevator, or more, and noticed that someone is constantly peeping into your phone? Most of us either choose to continue working on our devices with ignorance or just end up locking it irritatively.
In response to this major privacy problem, Huawei launched the AI anti-peeping feature last year with Pura 80 handsets. Powered by artificial intelligence, the feature shields your screen’s content when it detects someone peeping!

So when others look at your screen, the device automatically hides main content, sensitive app details, and other confidential stuff, giving users real-time alerts and effectively preventing snooping. Thus, your details are only visible to you!
Isn’t the feature cool and super beneficial?
Yes, and probably that’s why Honor may introduce the Huawei-inspired security upgrade with the Magic 9 series. A recent piece of information claimed that even Samsung is looking for such screens that can supportan AI anti-peeping feature.
Honor hasn’t officially shed light on this matter yet. Though the company has always launched new AI functionalities with its flagship phones’ grand unveiling.
Thus, we can expect that Honor Magic 9 series will soon allow users to get alerts when someone peeps into their phone. Whether the company will expand the feature to more devices via software updates is a matter of time.
