Honor Magic V6 uses a zero-crease flexible display tech: BOE

During MWC 2026, BOE announced that Honor Magic V6 foldable equips a zero-crease flexible display technology. The flagship folding smartphone has used BOE as its exclusive screen supplier to deliver the best viewing experience to its users.

BOE is a Chinese company that has become one of the world’s largest producers of LCD and OLED displays. It is a major supplier for phones, TVs, laptops, and even automotive displays, giving a tough spot to LG and Samsung.

Recently, BOE revealed that the Honor Magic V6 foldable phone uses a zero-crease display tech. It further stated that brands like Vivo, Nothing, and Red Magic with multiple flagships at MWC are exclusively using BOE display panels.

Zero-Creen foldable is a mirror-like display panel that adopts a new fold-module stacking solution. This new effort reduces module creases on the foldable effectively.

Moreover, the company has optimized the overall hinge technology as well as increased stress compensation. As a result, the screen has reduced creasing by 40%.

BOE said:

“Both the inner and outer screens are exclusively supplied by BOE, and both support 2K+ resolution, 6000 nits peak brightness for the outer screen and 5000 nits peak brightness for the inner screen, as well as high-frequency PWM dimming technology.”

Honor Magic V6 uses UTG display technology that further reduces the screen crease depth by 44% over its predecessor. It has a 6.52-inch cover screen and a 7.95-inch internal display with a 120Hz refresh rate, offering smoother visuals at all times.
