Honor officially suggests Magic 8 RSR launch timeline

Yes, you read it right! Honor has officially hinted at the launch timeline of the Magic 8 RSR Porsche Design. Even though the company didn’t reveal clear details on this topic, it has confirmed the existence of the sports car-like smartphone.

Cao Gong, the Honor R&D Engineer, has dropped a clue on the Magic 8 RSR Porsche Design’s launch timeline. The official executive has used the second-generation Magic RSR model to share the latest post on its Weibo account.

He has further mentioned “test” in his post, hinting that the device is now going through internal testing before heading towards its official release in the market.

Based on the company’s latest move, it seems the Honor Magic 8 RSR will launch ahead of the Chinese New Year. The occasion will take place from February 17 to March 3, and before that, we may have an official glimpse at the new phone.

The latest news also marks an end to all the previous rumors claiming the company won’t launch the Magic 8 RSR Porsche Edition this year. The rumor appeared following the buzz of two new Magic phones: Mini or the Pro Air and Ultra.

But it looks like Honor has more to offer this year. After the launch of the Magic 8 series with standard and Pro, the company can introduce three more phones to this lineup: Magic 8 Pro Air, Magic 8 RSR, and the Ultra Edition.

Magic 8 Pro Air has recently received approval from the company. Honor may release this slim device and the RSR Porsche Design together by the end of this month, or probably in the first week of February 2026.
