Honor has redesigned the status bar for its MagicOS devices. The OEM is constantly enhancing the user experience by adding new changes to its mobile phone software system, and the latest enhancement is no exception in this direction.
One of the Honor officials – Xiao Wang, the Product Manager of MagicOS Human-Computer Interaction, has revealed that the company has now prepared a restyled status bar for phones and tablets.
He even shared an image on Weibo, asking users to choose from the two options of the status bar. The first one is a refreshed status bar with more vibrant icons, especially for the battery level. While the second one seems plain as usual.
The major difference between the two options is COLORS. Honor has now added more color and depth to the status bar icons. On comparison, the new changes appear darker, bolder, and more vibrant with yellow and green colors for battery level.
Green color appears inside the battery icon when the phone is charging, and the yellow color highlights the “Power Mode” status of the phone.
Overall, the redesigned MagicOS status bar gives a more fancy yet subtle look to the device. The company has also changed the fonts in the icons like 5G, battery percentage, and Wi-Fi 6.

When the executive asked users which one of the two options they would pick for their handsets, nearly 300 users voted for the new status bar, while 56 users supported the old style.
Some users even asked the chief to bring back the classic themes that had enabled users to choose as per their preference. In response, Xiao stated that the company is working on the resources and will add them to the MagicOS in the future.
