Triple foldable has become a new hype in the smartphone market where Samsung stepped in last year, and while the company is now working on a “modified Galaxy Z TriFold,” Huawei reportedly began prepping for its third tri-folding creation.
Weibo tipster @GuoJing recently shared a huge list of Huawei products coming in 2026, and one of these is the third triple foldable, probably the Mate XT 2.
Huawei is currently leading in the tri-fold market with two top creations, wrapped with fascinating features, a luxurious appearance, and premium tech capabilities.
Despite several challenges, the Chinese OEM has launched two tri-folds in the last two years with significant improvements in the second-generation model. Now, it is seemingly up with the third-gen model with even bigger surprises.
Launch Timeline
According to the tipster, Huawei will continue to unveil the third tri-fold in September, just like the last two launches. That’s a perfect time to set a challenge against Apple, which also releases its flagship products in the third quarter of the year.

In addition, the tipster suggested that the upcoming tri-fold will focus on business tasks this time. Perhaps it will enhance productivity and multi-tasking capabilities by integrating smarter AI functions and tools.
Huawei Mate XT products follow a minimal design due to complexities. Last year, the company focused on the durability and optimized camera features of the second-gen triple foldable. This time, there could be more new enhancements.
Apart from the tri-fold, the tipster stated that Huawei will launch a new Enjoy smartphone series this month with an extra-large battery. Besides, the 2026 Pura lineup will likely show up in April. Nova 16 and Nova Flip could debut around June.
The Mate family with a book-type foldable and top-notch regular phones may appear in October or November. Meanwhile, another new Nova line could be released in December. Let’s see how many of these launches turn out to be true.
