Huawei today confirmed the Pura X Max wide foldable launch for April 20 and eventually resolved the mystery surrounding its design. The company has officially released the very first look at the new folding phone, marking an end to all the flying rumors.
The first look reveals a wider-than-ever form factor of the Huawei Pura X Max. From the cover screen to the rear camera system, the company has significantly worked on every segment, restyling the entire foldable.
It looks more like a mini tablet that can be folded!
Starting with the rear side, the first half contains the camera bump, taking most of the top part. Unlike the previous-generation model, which shows a thin camera bar beside the cover screen, Pura X Max highlights a separate compartment for both parts.
Pura X Max’s back panel is quite interesting. The camera bar is surrounded by a thick plate, showing the XMAGE branding. Meanwhile, the company has divided the bottom part (the rest 60% excluding the camera bump) into two parts. It shows grill-like vertical and horizontal lines.
The second part has the cover screen – larger than ever. That’s a really big challenge for other clamshell device brands that are still trying to fit the external display in a small space by making a few tweaks to the size.
Coming to the hinge part, it highlights the HUAWEI mark. Based on the new design, it seems the company would have improved the durability of the clamshell to a greater extent.
Apart from the design, Huawei has shed light on three interesting color schemes of the Pura X Max wide folding phone: Blue, Orange, and White. The cover screen and the main display have a single punch hole design at the top. Although the position of this layout differs.
