Huawei CEO He Gang has shared the first look at Huawei’s open Claw AI agent features for HarmonyOS devices. He posted screenshots of the claw integration inside the voice assistant and revealed the following capabilities.
Ready to use
The AI agent is deeply integrated into HarmonyOS, providing system-level access for instant task execution. With one tap wake-up, the AI agent will follow the user command and complete tasks.
Self-learning
The AI agent will learn the user patterns and memorize the important apps and features that are frequently used to make the everyday experience user-friendly.
Multi-device collaboration
Huawei is planning to implement this AI agent to all of its devices, which means it will be able to interact with cross-device platforms such as mobile, tablets, and notebooks, and complete the user instructions without requring for the user to do anything on the connected devices.
Security
Huawei says that the AI agent is personalized and protected with end-to-end user data security.
Health Statics
That’s not it, HarmonyOS’ Claw AI agent will look through the user’s health data and create a comprehensable statics for daily briefing. Furthermore, it will help users to create exercise plans and synchronize them with the calendar.
Other feautres
Furthermore, it can help users to edit text files, create presentation slides, read email, and automate a reply, while also bringing a new custom user experience.
HarmonyOS 6
This new AI agent is compatible with the HarmonyOS 6 operating system and designed for its on-device AI assistant. It is based on OpenClaw, often called the open-source lobster, an open-source autonomous AI agent created by Austrian developer Peter Steinberger.
Unlike ChatGPT, OpenClaw performs tasks across the entire system, which makes it highly capable, and it’s also cost-effective in computing. These two factors have earned it favor from big tech companies.
Not only Huawei, but Tencent and Alibaba are among the top players that are rushing to adopt OpenClaw. Industry observers believe that the adoption will continue to see an increase through 2026.
