Today, Huawei received a new AI management system certificate named ISO/IEC 42001. The certification indicates that the Chinese tech giant has been serving secure and practical AI solutions to date and will continue to bring more such services in the future.
ISO/IEC is the first global standard that offers a framework for Artificial Intelligence Management Systems (AIMS). It enables firms to develop, provide, or use AI systems responsibly.
Besides, the standard ensures the management of AI-related risks, ethical considerations, and transparency. As of now, the AI management system certificate goes to Huawei, confirming advancements for the company in the AI industry.
Simply put, the new certificate will help Huawei in developing an effective AI governance system. It will strengthen its open cooperation with all stakeholders while consolidating its own practices.
The certificate covers five core businesses of Huawei – ICT infrastructure, Devices, Cloud, Digital Energy, and Smart Self-Driving solutions, along with multiple subsidiaries worldwide.
Yang Xiaoning, the Global CyberSecurity Officer at Huawei, said:
“This certification not only verifies Huawei’s AI governance system but also strengthens its commitment to security and protection throughout the entire AI lifecycle. In the future, Huawei will continue to deepen its AI governance practices to provide customers with reliable and optimal intelligent products and services.”
